The Diagnostic Sprint is right for you if...
You're being asked to justify your L&D spend
The diagnostic gives you the evidence base to make the right investment and defend it to your board.
You've run training that didn't change behaviour
Before you do it again, find out what actually needs to change and whether training is even the right solution.
You're about to invest in a large capability program
A diagnostic that saves you from a costly mistake is the most cost-effective first step you can take.
Something has changed and you need to move fast
New system rollout, restructure, AI adoption challenge - the sprint is designed to give you direction quickly.
You have a performance problem with no clear cause
Teams are underperforming, errors keep happening, onboarding isn't working, but you don't know exactly why.
You want a partner, not another vendor
The sprint is a low-risk way to see how we work before committing to a larger engagement.
What happens during the sprint
We use AI to accelerate the analysis and synthesis, so your team's time is spent on insight, not admin.
Kickoff and context
We align on your business objectives, the challenge as you understand it, and who we need to speak with. We share a brief stakeholder survey ahead of interviews.
Discovery and data collection
Structured stakeholder interviews. Review of existing learning, performance data, and role documentation. AI-assisted synthesis of findings in real time.
Analysis and gap mapping
LNA validation, capability gap analysis, and root cause mapping. We distinguish between performance problems, capability gaps, and environmental barriers. ROI modelling of intervention options.
Report and debrief
You receive a clear, decision-ready diagnostic report. We walk you through the findings, recommended options, and the business case for each, then you decide how to proceed.
Your Diagnostic Sprint deliverables
Capability Gap Analysis
A mapped view of where capability currently sits versus where it needs to be, by role, function, or team depending on scope.
Validated Learning Needs Analysis
An evidence-based LNA that separates genuine learning needs from performance problems that training won't solve.
Root Cause Performance Map
A clear breakdown of whether issues stem from capability gaps, unclear expectations, environmental barriers, or process failure.
Prioritised Intervention Options
2-4 recommended solution pathways with effort and projected business impact for each, so you can make an informed decision.
ROI Projection Model
A simple model showing the cost of inaction versus the projected return on each intervention, built for conversations with your board.
60-minute Debrief Session
A live walkthrough of findings with your team. We answer questions, explore options, and agree on the clearest next step with no pressure to proceed further.
Scoped before we start.
Every Diagnostic Sprint is scoped and priced before we start. You know exactly what you're getting and exactly what it costs, before you commit to anything.
Every engagement is scoped to a clear outcome before work begins. Investment is discussed in your discovery call.
What people ask before booking
What if we already know what the problem is?
That's a great starting point. The sprint will validate your hypothesis, or surface something different. Either way, you'll have evidence rather than assumption.
Do we have to proceed with a full engagement after?
No. The diagnostic is a standalone deliverable. You'll leave with a clear action plan you can act on yourself. There's no obligation to continue.
How much of our team's time will this take?
Typically a small number of hours across the full engagement, mostly in the discovery interviews. We do the heavy lifting.
Can this be done fully remotely?
Yes. We work with organisations anywhere, fully remotely. All interviews and sessions are conducted via video call.
What if our organisation is smaller or larger than typical?
If you have a genuine capability or performance challenge, a discovery call will quickly tell us whether the sprint is the right fit for your context.
What happens after the diagnostic report?
If you want to act on the findings, we can scope a Design and Build engagement based directly on what the diagnostic surfaced. If you prefer to proceed independently, the report gives you everything you need.
