Who we are
We are a full end-to-end, one-stop Learning and Development shop...
Talentforge implies the creation of something robust and enduring from place of natural aptitude, knack or ability. Just like a forge uses methods of impact to create tools for impact, figuratively speaking - we do the same by harnessing the talents and capabilities of people.
The more impact a learning experience has on its people, the more meaningful that learning becomes.
We have a range of tools and expertise at our disposal to achieve this. Whether it be a digital learning solution, capability assessment, workshop design, or anything in between, we create great learner experiences while supporting business goals.
Learning in this context is an verb. As such, we strive to make the process of learning a positive, qualitative experience. Where possible, learning should be a frictionless and organic function within your business.
We seek to understand your business culture, structure and ecosystem, along with your vision and values. This helps ensure that the application of learning is properly embedded into the regular cadence of your business, so that it's accessible, relevant and timely.
Learning in this context is a noun. As such, our learning solutions are designed to get the most out of your people, and provide the most for your people.
Great learning design means getting to the root of the problem. We collaborate with your business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) in building a suitable strategic pathway to a learning outcome or solution.
The solution may be bespoke to a specific need, designed to build people capability, upskill or cross-skill, or support a pull-based "curiosity-driven" learning function.

The 3 learning domains
Most adult learners have already formed many lower-order abilities in each of these domains.
The most impactful, meaningful learning experiences understand how to meet learners where they are, and then leverage off, build, or contextualise their abilities in a productive, efficient and effective way.
Cognitive domain: This is the domain responsible for thinking, or knowledge processes attributed to a learning experience.
Affective domain: This domain is responsible for the emotional, or 'feeling' responses associated with a learning experience.
Psychomotor domain: This is responsible for the physical, or 'doing' or 'behavioural' aspects of a learning experience.
We achieve impactful, meaningful learning by working off well-established learning taxonomies. Most notably Bloom's, and the 3 domains of learning:
Mark Arnold
Principal Consultant and Designer

About me...
Hi, Mark here.
As a qualified digital graphic designer, I started out as a digital graphic design all-rounder, but initially finding my niche mostly in corporate identity and instructional design.
I later received a graduate diploma of teaching where worked as a teacher, effectively cutting my teeth on applied learning pedagogy and neuroscience, finding knowledge and an empathic concern that would later develop into an adult learning context.
For over 10 years or so, I've worked as an L&D professional in many organisations and industries, including finance, logistics, education, healthcare and retail. As such, I have a pretty well-versed understanding of the unique challenges, barriers and opportunities that different organisations and their learners face.
